Christmas in July is celebrated in many countries in the Southern Hemisphere – particulary those where December 25th falls in the hottest part of the year.
While many of us still serve hot roasts and delicious hot puddings for our real Christmas celebration, it kind of makes sense to enjoy these winter warming foods in the middle of Winter, surrounded by friends, warm fireplaces and in some places even snow.
Last year my family was fortunate enough to celebrate Christmas in July in the pub at Sovereign Hill.
While it was absolutely freezing, the snow was provided by giant bubble machines amongst the beautifully lit up historic buildings down the main street of this great tourist attraction in Ballarat, Victoria.
Kytons has joined the Christmas in July fun, making a special batch of our award winning pudding just for your Christmas in July celebrations.
Kytons Bakery Christmas Puddings have won numerous awards, including 1st Prize at the Royal Adelaide Show last year and 3rd prize (twice) at the National Dried Fruit Bake Off.
Our puddings are rich, moist and full of top grade Australian dried fruit (much of it bought straight from the grower).
Available in 700g (8-10 serves) or single serve sizes they are available directly from 15 Lindsay Ave Edwardstown (Monday-Friday) or for $10 we can send them out to anywhere in the Adelaide metropolitan area – call Kytons on 8177 0156.
So celebrate Christmas in July with a South Australian Kytons Bakery Christmas Pudding – it will help make your Christmas in July celebrations a huge success.
