Industry partners-who we work with

Australia boasts many many quality food growers, manufacturers and service providers. Kytons is an active member of the SA food producers’ community.

We love to work with other food producers, including iconic South Australian brands, to make innovative and delicious new products.

Kytons sources much of our packaging locally and most of our ingredients come from within Australia and often South Australia wherever practical.

Flour

We source all of our flour from Australian mills, including Laucke Mills, founded in South Australia in the 1800s.

Sugar

All of the sugar we use in our products is Australian grown. It is more expensive than imported sugar, but we choose to support the Australian product.

Apricots

The dried apricots we use in our Apricot Crumble Pies is bought direct from a farm at Murbko in the Riverland. This farm was owned by Kytons’ owner Darren’s grandfather in the 1900s!

Cocoa & Coconut

Unfortunately, cocoa and coconut are not grown in large enough quantities in Australia to make it commercially viable to buy. We source these two products from overseas.

Another great collaboration – Kytons has been making the delicious crumble on the top of The Yoghurt Shop’s products for nearly 10 years.

Kytons is a proud member of several industy and business associations – working with and learning from other business owners.

Brand South Australia

We have been baking in South Australia since 1938, so Kytons is proud to display the state brand and participate in BrandSA events throughout the year.
